Crafting compelling visual content and marketing strategies for events and clubs, while also mentoring peers in modern resume design, thus elevating both institutional outreach and individual career prospects.

At Irvine Valley College (IVC), my role as a designer and marketing strategist involved creating vibrant visual content and effective marketing strategies to promote various college events and programs. One of my earliest and noteworthy projects involved crafting Instagram posts and flyers for both the Honors Peer Mentorship Program and the IVC Honors Club. These initiatives hosted a variety of events such as panels and in-person meetings aimed at assisting prospective transfer students. My designs aimed to captivate and engage the audience, driving event attendance and boosting the visibility of these vital programs.

Simultaneously, I collaborated closely with event coordinators to devise marketing strategies that maximized the impact of my design work. Further extending my design contributions at IVC, I had the exciting opportunity to create a logo for the college's vibrant Art Club. The logo design draws on a playful color palette and a blend of artistic elements, embodying the club's passion for self-expression and visual exploration. This simple yet dynamic logo encapsulates the creative spirit of the club, providing a visual representation that is both inviting and representative of its members' artistic pursuits.

In sum, my work at Irvine Valley College showcases my ability to produce compelling designs tailored to diverse needs, and to develop effective marketing strategies that amplify event outreach. It underscores my capacity to listen and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver design solutions that resonate with the intended audience and achieve the set objectives. Further to my design and marketing efforts at Irvine Valley College, I also found myself playing an instrumental role in peer mentorship with regards to resume design. Recognizing the importance of a well-crafted and visually appealing resume in securing future employment, fellow students often approached me for assistance.

Drawing on my design expertise, I helped them to integrate modern design elements into their resumes, transforming traditional documents into dynamic presentations of their skills and experiences. This entailed strategic use of typography, layout, and color, ensuring the resumes were not only aesthetically pleasing but also maintained a professional feel and facilitated easy readability. This unique, peer-driven initiative not only allowed me to employ my design skills in a novel context but also offered the rewarding experience of aiding my peers in enhancing their career prospects. It served as a testament to my versatility as a designer and my commitment to using my skills for the benefit of my community.
